Amelia Hughes is an aerospace engineer on the front lines of America’s return to the moon and beyond. Based in Huntsville, Alabama—a city with a rich history in space exploration—she works for a major aerospace contractor, designing and testing propulsion systems for next-generation rockets. Her work involves complex computer modeling and hands-on testing of powerful rocket engines.

With a Master’s degree from Georgia Tech’s prestigious aerospace program, Amelia is passionate about the practical challenges of space travel.
