About Samuel
Samuel Jones is a veteran foreign correspondent who has reported from over 50 countries across six continents. A graduate of Columbia University’s prestigious School of Journalism, he has spent his career on the ground, covering everything from political upheavals and armed conflicts to cultural festivals and environmental crises. His work is defined by a commitment to telling the human stories behind the headlines.
He believes that in an increasingly connected world, understanding different cultures and perspectives is more important than ever. After years of working for major news networks, Samuel joined EduEarth4U to write more in-depth pieces that explore the nuances of global events and societies, free from the constraints of the 24-hour news cycle.
Though he travels extensively, he calls Denver, Colorado home, where he enjoys hiking in the Rocky Mountains to decompress and reflect on his experiences abroad.
My Writing Philosophy
“The world is a complex, beautiful, and often contradictory place. My job is to be an honest witness. I strive to go beyond the politics and the statistics to find the universal human truths that connect us all—our hopes, our struggles, our shared desire for a better future. I want my writing to be a bridge, fostering empathy and understanding across borders.”
